Mission Statement
The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination. Branch 7132 seeks to further these goals in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. For the history, vision statement, objectives, and strategic plan of the NAACP, click here.

Branch #7132: To advance the NAACP mission, Branch #7132 has worked with Harrisonburg and Rockingham community organizations, local governments, school boards, and law enforcement toward a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race. We are an interracial group committed to the pursuit of equality and justice, as well as collaboration and companionship.

Officers are elected in November of even-numbered years and serve two-year terms. As of December 2019, most Executive Committee positions are vacant awaiting branch reorganization.

Past President: Monica Robinson helped found Branch 7132 in the early 2000s, and twice served as president. Her commitment, energy, and vision have been key to moving the branch forward.
